Thanks for visiting our page of Mossy Buck Hunting Lease. We are fortune to be in our 16th year of operation and consist of 1507.16 acres [San Augustine county ] in east Texas 1 hour south of Carthage Tx. On hwy. 96 south, San Augustine and 30 minutes north from Jasper, Tx. We have officers & a board, officers consist of members. President -James Richards, VP-John Vallery, Treasurer-Ronnie Hathcoat. 

First of all, this lease is family oriented for year round access, we urge the parents to bring their kids whether to hunt or to enjoy the outdoors year round.  The lease is a year round lease & has a pasture rider/manger. One member pays and your spouse & kids under the age of 18 are members. New members must pay in full ($1,500.00) at time of joining.

Fees are $1,500.00 a year from March 1st to February 28 th of each year. For existing members, Each year by Feb. 1st there is a $150.00 deposit due to maintain your spot for [existing members only ] the next year. Balance of $1,350.00 is due by March 1st. No refunds ! If deposit of $150.00 is not paid by Feb. 2nd, your name will be removed from roster. If(balance)of $1,350.00 not paid by March 1st your name will be deleted from roster.

If the deposit or dues are not paid by said dates. Then you have 15 days to remove property off lease. Any thing left on Mossy Buck property said property of that member will become property of Mossy Buck.

You are allowed to have two hunting spots per paid member. Hunting areas are predetermined and have been set for safety and the lay of the land. No one else will not be able to hunt your stand locations, Mossy Buck Management encourages you to set up at least one feeder as quickly as possible with 20% protein and operate all year. This encourages & establishes deer traffic & population.

You must wear hunters` orange vest & cap anytime in the woods while hunting. You are not allowed to hunt any other stand location.

 Those that choose to camp on lease will have to pay a $200.00 for each camper, tents for the year to Mossy Buck (this is a lease policy)& must be collected before setting up or erecting said structures. Members are required to inform myself or the V.P. of any harvest of game and when on lease.

Hunters orange is mandatory, a hunters orange cap and vest will be required at all times during hunting for deer, hog, and squirrel. Bow season is the only time you do not have to wear Hunters orange. .

Guest are welcome to come after the third weekend , same person Hunting MORE than Twice needs to be approved by Manager and if approved will cost a $100.00 a weekend. Management must be notified of guest hunting a week prior to bringing guest.

Guest can only harvest a buck with a 13” wide spread, if one under 13" is harvested a fine will be applied of $200.00 plus a notification to local Game Wardens. Guest that are children under 18 will be able to harvest a doe or a buck. Members can harvest 1- 13” buck, 1- cull buck and 2- does per paid family.

2 does  can be taken on the first weekends of gun season only (depending on how the weekends fall it could be 2 weeks or 3 weeks for does). Does harvested during bow season count against your doe count per family. You also are able to harvest does during muzzle load season if not taken the first of the season. There are hogs on this lease also, during the off season you are able to hunt the entire lease to hunt for hogs, squirrels, coyotes & etc.

You are able to ride ATV`s & UTV`S on lease. (Also we recommend taking a ATV/UTV safety coarse). We just ask you to be considerate of other hunters during gun and bow seasons.
